    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By downloading, installing, or using Snapfam ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Snapfam. If you are using the App on behalf of another person, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that person.

    2. Description of Service

    Snapfam is a family organization application that uses AI-powered document scanning to extract information from physical documents (school flyers, doctor's notes, etc.) and automatically populate a shared family calendar. Additional features include milestone tracking, contextual parenting advice, health reminders, and secure document storage.

    3. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. The App is designed for parents, guardians, and caregivers. Children under 13 should not use the App directly.

    You are responsible for ensuring that you have any permissions, consents, or legal authority needed to upload information about children or other third parties and to share that information through the Service.

    4. Account Registration

    • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
    • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
    • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
    • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

    5. Subscriptions & Payments

    5.1 Free Tier

    Includes 3 snaps per month.

    5.2 Premium Subscription

    Available at $12.99/month or $69.99/year. Includes unlimited scans, multi-device support, unlimited secure storage, customizable reminders, priority support, and an ad-free experience.

    5.3 Billing

    • Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
    • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
    • You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your device's app store settings.
    • Refunds are subject to the respective app store's refund policy.

    5.4 Rate Limits & Fair Use

    While Premium subscribers enjoy unlimited scans, we maintain rate limits on AI model usage to ensure service quality, security, and system stability. Rate limits are applied to:

    • Concurrent AI processing requests to prevent abuse and protect service infrastructure.
    • Gemini AI API calls to manage costs and maintain reliable service for all users.
    • Rapid or automated scanning to prevent exploitation or unauthorized use.

    We reserve the right to implement or adjust rate limits at any time to maintain service quality and security. Excessive usage patterns may result in temporary limitations or account review.

    6. No Professional Advice

    The App may surface reminders, summaries, or AI-generated suggestions related to parenting, child development, health, scheduling, or document interpretation. That content is provided for general informational purposes only and is not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You should independently verify important information and consult a qualified professional when needed. The App is not intended for emergencies or urgent medical situations.

    7. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
    • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or infringes on third-party rights.
    • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
    • Interfere with the App's functionality or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
    • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App without our written consent.
    • Share your account credentials with third parties.

    8. Intellectual Property

    All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, software, and the underlying code, are the exclusive property of Snapfam and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

    9. User Content

    • You retain ownership of documents, photos, and data you upload to Snapfam.
    • By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display it as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
    • You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to upload the content and to allow us and our service providers to process it under these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
    • We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it outside the scope described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

    10. AI-Generated Content

    Snapfam uses Gemini AI to extract information from documents and fill your calendar. AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional medical, legal, or financial advice. Always consult qualified professionals for important decisions regarding your child's health or wellbeing.

    11. Third-Party Services

    The App may depend on or integrate with third-party services, including app stores, authentication providers, cloud hosting, calendar providers, and AI vendors. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their terms and policies. Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate agreements with those providers.

    12. Disclaimer of Warranties

    THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. AI-POWERED FEATURES MAY OCCASIONALLY PRODUCE INACCURATE RESULTS. ALWAYS VERIFY EXTRACTED INFORMATION.

    13. Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNAPFAM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, TO THE EXTENT THAT LIMITATION IS PERMITTED BY LAW.

    14. Termination

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

    15. Changes to Terms

    We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
