    • Communications: Messages you send to us through support channels or feedback forms.
    • Sensitive Information: In some cases, documents or notes you upload may include health-related, child-related, or other sensitive information. Please only upload information you are comfortable sharing with us and our service providers as described in this Policy.

    • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
    • Usage Data: Features used, actions taken, time and duration of use, and interaction patterns.

    • Camera & Storage Access: Only when you actively use the document scanning feature, with your explicit permission.

    • Calendar Services: If you connect Google Calendar, we access calendar data as authorized by you.
    • Authentication Providers: If you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information as permitted.

    2.4 Analytics & Crash Reporting

    • Analytics: We may use PostHog to understand how the app is used, measure feature performance, and improve the Service.
    • Crash Reporting: We may use Sentry to detect bugs, diagnose crashes, and improve app stability.
    • Collected Data: These tools may receive app usage events, device information, session data, and technical logs associated with your use of the Service.

    3. How We Use AI and Service Providers

    We use service providers, including AI vendors such as Gemini, to process documents, extract dates and other details, generate summaries, and support the Service. Depending on the feature, those providers may receive the content you submit in order to perform the requested task on our behalf.

    We do not authorize service providers to use your data for their own independent marketing purposes, and we use contractual and technical safeguards intended to limit processing to service delivery, security, and support.

    4. How We Use Your Information

    • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including Gemini AI-powered document extraction and calendar synchronization.
    • Generate personalized parenting tips, health reminders, and milestone insights based on your children's profiles.
    • Process and extract information from scanned documents using Gemini AI.
    • Send notifications, reminders, and service-related communications.
    • Analyze usage, monitor performance, and diagnose crashes or technical issues using tools such as PostHog and Sentry.
    • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security vulnerabilities.
    • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

    5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

    We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share data in the following circumstances:

    • Family Members: With other users you explicitly invite to your family group, based on the access levels you configure.
    • Service Providers: With trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, AI processing, analytics, and crash reporting), bound by confidentiality agreements.
    • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental request.
    • Safety: To protect the rights, safety, or property of Snapfam, our users, or the public.

    We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), secure authentication, and ongoing security practices. While no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, we strive to protect your personal information using commercially reasonable means.

    We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Upon deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary for legitimate business records, backups, or security purposes.

    Snapfam is designed for parents and caregivers, not for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The child-related data stored in Snapfam is provided by parents/guardians and is used solely to deliver the Service's features. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information directly to us, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

    10. International Data Transfers

    Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable, to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
